I am most thankful for the
sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for me. I am so blessed and
fortunate. Our Heavenly Father is big enough! Each time I have asked
in faith, I have been given so much more than I deserve. This is one
story of faith I would like to share with you all.
My mother had been very sick for about a year,
nobody knew why. A doctor finally found the problem. Mom needed open
heart surgery, immediately. My grandmother had open heart and Mom
had always said she would never go through what her Mom did. Sis
didn't know if she was strong enough to make it through the
operation, she knew how rough it would be (she's an RN). I had faith
she could do it. We couldn't decide what was best. We grabbed hands
in the waiting room and tears were pouring, we started praying aloud
and really don't remember what all was said. We needed God's help and
we didn't know what to do, our Dad was just sitting there stunned.
We prayed and gave it to God. We decided to let the heart Dr. tell
Mom and we all went in together. When the Dr. told Mom what she
needed she said something like "let's get it done". Our prayers had
been answered. Mom came through okay, they didn't even stop or
remove her heart. It was fixed while it stayed beating. I am so
proud of her, she is a strong and courageous lady. Since then she
has also underwent aorta bi-fem surgery. Today she feels good and is
walking, knitting scarves for people and cross stitching for others.
I know that God is with her, and He answered our prayers. Thank you
God and Jesus for all of your love, kindness, and faithfulness.
Someday every knee will bow.
Love in Christ,
your sister, Diane |
